More of our Adventures...

We had a fun surprise visit from Grandma and Grandpa Gilbert and Aunt Katie! It was so fun to have them come visit us and spend time with us while we are here. While they were here we went to the zoo, did some shopping, went to the train park, and enjoyed their company.

So excited for the train!!!

We love the carousel!!

Jackie favorite thing to try on in the store are hats and shoes. And she loves to look at purses!

After Grandma and Grandpa left the kids and I went to the library. After the library we went outside to the Civic Center Plaza and there were Native American dancers and so we watched them for a little while. The kids were fascinated!

We went to the zoo again with some friends later on in the week. We love the zoo! But this time we let the kids just see what they wanted to so we saw the monkeys, zebra, and we tried to see the giraffes but they were gone somewhere. And then Jackie loved the petting zoo and the fun different playgrounds! She doesn't usually get to play on those too much because we are busy seeing the animal so she loved getting to just play!

Our Bishop's wife had a little Easter Egg hunt for the kids Saturday morning. Jackie was a little tentative to pick up the eggs off the ground but she finally got the hang of it by the end! It was so cute. She mostly loved just getting to be with her friends from church and playing with them. The bishop's wife made lunch for everyone and she is such a great cook! Everything she makes is seriously amazing! She made a teriyaki chicken for a ward dinner the other night, for the kids Saturday she made dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets, pigs in a blanket, and macaroni and cheese in a cupcake pan so there was a small serving size for them. Then she also made pulled pork with the most delicious homemade barbeque sauce ever with homemade buns and a yummy pasta, spinach, and chicken salad. Anyways, it was so much fun! The only thing that would have made it better is if Robby could have been there with us as he had to work.

The other morning while I was in our bedroom I heard Jackie with Logan in the other room, and she was telling him to say "cheese" for a picture. She finally came in to get me and to complain that Logan wouldn't say cheese! So she decided to sit next to him to help him say cheese for a picture. So here they are saying "cheese!" and so happy in the morning!

We are so sad we only have a little while left here in sunny Arizona! We have loved it so much! It has been such a great experience for our little family. We are excited to finish up school though BYU-I next semester and graduate. Robby will start graduate school in August at ISU so we will stick around there for another year which will be fun. But then hopefully we will be back!

Spring Training, Ice Cream, and Fun in the Water! :)

Last week my parents and siblings all came down to visit us! It was so much fun and Jackie especially was so so excited to see everyone! We were all excited of course, but Jackie was the most excited I think. When they got here we went to a baseball game. We saw the Mariners and the White Sox play. It was so fun to get to go! I don't remember the exact score, but I know the Mariners won.

Jackie got a fly ball at the game! Somebody picked it up and came over and gave it to her. She was so excited! She still talks about "that guy" that gave her the ball!

About two weeks before they got here, Jackie made Grandpa a tower with her blocks. It set on the kitchen counter for two weeks before they got here. She didn't remember on Saturday to give it to them, but Sunday she walked in the room and all the sudden remembered the tower! She ran into the room yelling "You need you tower!" When Grandpa left and didn't take the tower with him she was most disappointed and thought that they forgot it. But we reminded her that she did give it to Grandpa and now she can play with these blocks again. It was so cute!!

We also went to the Mesa Temple on Sunday and walked around the beautiful grounds again. I love that temple! I had the chance to go this week and attend a session there while one of our friends watched the kids for a morning for me. It was so beautiful! The inside is just as beautiful as the outside! I love going to the temple. It truly is a sacred and beautiful experience every time I get to go!!! The Spirit is so strong there on the grounds and of course inside the temple.

They left early Monday morning to drive to Nauvoo where they were going to spend a few days and have a vacation. We will look forward to seeing them again in a month when we head back from Arizona.

One evening we went and got treats but they didn't finish them all in one night and so Jackie wanted to eat hers later on. She and Logan both love ice cream!

I didn't actually let him eat very much of the ice cream. I was done eating the ice cream cone and so I gave it to him for a minute to see him hold it and take a funny picture! But then I took it away so he didn't actually eat very much.

It has been getting really warm in the days sometimes and so we have started going swimming sometimes! It has been really fun. Jackie and Logan both love the water! They splash and laugh and it's so fun.

Their favorite place to play in the house is wherever there is water. Especially in the kitchen sink and bathtub. The other day I was cooking dinner and Logan was sitting in the sink while I was and these are a few pictures that I got of him playing. He is such a fun, cute little boy! He is becoming more of a little boy rather than a baby. I can't believe that he is already nine months old.

I feel like we are so blessed to be here! This time that we have had to be here with our little family, all the time that I have had to spend with my kids has been incredible. I feel so blessed to be their mother. They teach me so much each day about love and kindness, having fun, patience, and just truly being happy. Jackie is talking so much, and I love our conversations that we have each day. She is so curious about the world, people, Heavenly Father and Jesus and she just wants to talk about everything! I feel like I learn more from her about things than I can teach her. I pray each day that I will be able to meet all of their needs and be able to teach them what they need to know and do! Truly little children are incredible! I feel so blessed and my heart is so full of gratitude to my Father in Heaven for all that He has blessed us with as we have been here!!
